Where to Eat in Castelldefels? Top 3 Places from a Local

If you're tired of the tourist bustle of Barcelona, take the train and in 40 minutes you'll be in the resort town of Castelldefels. It has a clean beach and picturesque mountains. An ideal place for lovers of spending time in the fresh air.

When you take a break from the beach or walking, it's important to have a rest and a snack. And it's better to do it in places you trust. Having walked up and down Castelldefels, I can vouch for that:

One of the nicest and tastiest restaurants in Castelldefels! The menu is a mix of Japanese cuisine and burgers, all kinds of healthy bowls and other variations on the theme. And everything here is really delicious, despite the fact that there is no clear cuisine direction in Feten. The prices are much lower than in Barcelona, and the quality and presentation of the food is on a par with top restaurants. My favourites are the tuna and avocado tataki and the salmon rolls. Enjoy!

This bakery is named after a Uruguayan singer. One of the great things about Barcelona and the surrounding area is that you can find cuisine from almost every nation in the world. Zittarosa offers traditional Uruguayan pastries, desserts and sandwiches. Empanadas are a must - small pies with different fillings, my favourites: meat and peppers, and cheese and tomato.

Gelateria Palermo

The best ice-cream parlour in the city! It's not just a café, it's a "heladeria". This is where the ice cream is made and sold. As well as the timeless classics - pistachio, chocolate and yoghurt - Palermo has lots of cool sorbets. There are non-dairy vegan options. And then there's sugar-free ice cream. I always find a new flavour in the range. At Palermo, you are greeted with a smile from the friendly owner. And that's another reason to come here. I recommend the mango sorbet with vegan dark chocolate ice cream and the banana ice cream with acai berry sorbet. One love!

HOW TO GET TO CASTELLDEFELS?

It can be reached by car (about 30 minutes) or by commuter train from three stations in Barcelona: Passeig de Gracia, Estacion de Francia, Barna Sants. It is best to use the T- Casual pass for the first zone.
