Where to Have Breakfast, Lunch and Cocktails in Sitges
Sitges is a world-famous Mediterranean resort that is very easy to get to from Barcelona. It takes about 30 minutes by car and a little longer by train. Be sure to stop off here after enjoying Barcelona. Sitges is tiny and only takes a couple of hours to explore. But it has its own charm. It's a resort town, famous for its loose morals and a beautiful promenade with a church perched on a cliff above the sea. We share with you a selection of places where you can have a delicious breakfast or lunch and enjoy the view with your favourite cocktail.
For breakfast, we suggest you choose Federal Cafe, a new outlet of the popular Barcelona chain. Polished floors, open concrete columns, a huge open window and a large terrace together create a cozy and pleasant space. They offer a pretty wide range of items - bougères, sandwiches, eggs, avocado - toast, pancakes, salads. There are ample healthy meal options and great coffee! Also suitable for lunch or dinner, but there are fewer options at that time. Plus, there's another place a couple minutes walk away where lunch or dinner would be more fulfilling (by Spanish standards, of course).
Atmospheric "airy" place with stylish interior and charming garden, located a few minutes from the main boulevard of Sitges by the sea. Here you should try the paella (some of my friends have complained that the paella is salty, but that is up to the connoisseur). In any case, you can tell the waiter your preferences in advance. I also recommend the grilled octopus. In general, the cuisine is varied: salads, tapas, various starters, desserts, and there is a long list of sparkling wines. It is advisable to book a table in advance, as this place is very popular with locals and tourists.
ALTAMAR Sitges is located near the church of San Bartomeu and Santa Tecla. If you like Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine, this restaurant is worth a visit. To start with, we recommend the spicy almonds and croquettes. For the main course you can choose paella, attractive cod or tender fideua. If you like seafood, try the rape, octopus or prawns in salt.
This place is known for its good service and friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable. You can enjoy the beautiful views of the sea and the charming atmosphere.
The restaurant - bar is famous for its poor cuisine (the place has become very touristy and, as a consequence, the quality has collapsed), but for a cocktail with a gorgeous view, there is no better place in Sitges! So we still recommend going there, but, for example, at sunset. To admire the sun streaming into the sea with relaxing music. Sometimes there is live music in the restaurant :)
