If your favourite little ones are waiting for you with gifts from Barcelona, head to El Born! There's a Picasso museum, the incredible Santa Maria del Mar cathedral, art galleries, studios, designer and vintage shops and cool kids' shops! Today we'll visit 3 of them with Tanya.
Hello everyone, my name is Tania. I've been living in Barcelona for almost 4 years and I'm constantly exploring this magical city. I am a mother of a three year old girl. My eyes are always on the children's facilities, shops and entertainment.
Children love imagination, and Barcelona is full of it! Today I want to take you to three shops in the cosy neighbourhood of El Born. They are almost impossible to miss!
Address: Calle de la Princesa 49
Londji is a brand of puzzles and games based in Barcelona and founded in 2004. Londji stands for author's illustrations, very high quality printing and cool stories. If you are looking for an exciting and lasting gift for your children or loved ones, this is the place to be!
The brand specialises in jigsaw puzzles, but there's also a wide range of optical games, board games for language learning, active and creative games (such as puppet or shadow theatre) and even magnetic games.
The Mini Kaleidoscope is a must have when travelling! As the mother of a three year old, I can say that not only my daughter, but also my husband and I were interested in this toy! Londji has many different kaleidoscopes. They help develop creative thinking and the ability to see things from different angles. And to believe in magic!
Address: Сalle Tantarantana 16
Two minutes from Londji to the Chandal shop. I stay here for a long time! The variety pleases the eye. You want to explore and touch everything. There are gifts for every taste. For children and adults.
You can find a kaleidoscope camera for a baby and a rare Polaroid camera for a teenage son, stunning Moulin Roty toys, HAY Design pens and notebooks, and wooden toys from Scandinavian brands and very rare mechanical toys from English factories.
There's a great selection of books and magazines, designer and decorative crockery, eco brands, bags, photo film.... You can easily disappear for an hour or more! And come out with a bag full of cool gifts!
Address: Paseo del Born, 7
Tinycottons is a shop with a very soft and soulful atmosphere. Bright light floods in through the huge glass windows. The organic cotton clothing is arranged by colour, making it easy to find the look you're looking for. Fluffy cardigans, soft jumpsuits, polka dot socks - everything is so soft and pleasant to the touch. If you are a slimmer mum, you can choose from a range of sizes.
Other shelves held children's books from local publishers, toys, scooters with unusual prints and designer accessories.
After shopping, stop by Pastelería Hofmann for croissants! With almonds, mascarpone, raspberries or mango.... Everyone who has tried them says they are the best pastries in Barcelona!
The memories you bring back from your trip are very important. Make sure your souvenirs and gifts are creative, useful and will last and please their owners!
